Aptus Designs is not an industry specific company, but rather an ideal.  We formed Aptus Designs with a desire to create unique, high quality products.  Products that stand out in today’s market. Products that people can truly appreciate.  We have had many ideas to bring to market and have continuously run into the same roadblock; it needs to be made as cheaply as possible so all those in the sales chain can make money.  But we don’t make products for the entire sales chain… we make products for you.

We strive to develop products that “fit” the needs of our customers.  Your satisfaction and our pride in what we create is what’s important, not profits or mass appeal.  That is the Aptus Designs ideal.

The first product Aptus Designs has focused on is a portable, ergonomic scrapbooking table. It was created for Brian’s wife who suffered a severe neck injury and had difficulty scrapbooking for more than a few minutes at a time. The table soon became a hit at every crop she attended.  Staying true to the Aptus Designs ideal, we decided to design and manufacture the table in a way that would fit the needs of all who might use it. We held focus groups to obtain feedback and to ensure we understood what you, the customer, wanted. We modified the design when we could to accommodate any suggestion people brought to us. When it came to naming the table, we held a contest so our customers could put their final stamp on it. F.R.E.D., as it is now called, was built for really easy designing. F.R.E.D. will be there to help you design your pages, because after all, everybody needs a scrapping buddy.

F.R.E.D. is handcrafted out of wood and steel materials to be sturdy enough to handle years of scrapbooking use. We crafted this product to be as decorative as the layouts of your precious memories. Every screw was put in by our hand; every board was glued together by us. We put as much care into each of these tables as you put into your layouts. We are very proud of this product and proud that we have not compromised our Aptus ideal.
